Amanda Moshovetis

Owner and creator of Curly Girl Salon

I am a curly haired artist who is extremely passionate about healthy, curly and wavy hair. Currently, I am Vermont's only Deva Certified Curly Hair Stylist and I also enjoy being a part of the International Curly Hair Artistry group.

My goal is to educate clients on the care, maintenance and needs of curly hair. A visit to Curly Girl Salon includes an in-depth, hands on guide to creating optimal curl results in your every day curl routine.

yup, that's my high school yearbook picture

Being a curly girl myself, I have lived the struggle of the curl. Having my hair cut was always an experience that I dreaded.

They always cut off too much. It never looked the way I had hoped and it always seemed to be a slight variation of the same triangular shape. Leaving the salon was always the same, either my hair was blow dried to a frizzy mess or left soaking wet for what I like to call the “surprise dry”.  That is when you really never knew what your hair was going to look like for sure until it dried….surprise!

So I took matters into my own hands and became a hair stylist.

In cosmotology school I learned a proper foundation for haircutting. Sadly though, it didn't teach me how to cut curly hair any different than how to cut straight hair. So I expanded my learning, training at Deva Curly Academy, and becoming certified through them in the Deva Curl technique. I gained knowledge on how to achieve hydrated, silky soft, healthy, defined, and more manageable curly hair.

I work every day with a passion to teach you about the proper care and maintenance to achieve and embrace your curls. My goal now is to create an experience that is unlike any other salon appointment you have ever had.
